Mimi’s Silly Poetry

Since momma and poppa brought home our new twins

There’s been choas and crying, lots of giggles and grins.

They’re as cute as new puppies as soft as new cotton,

I don’t understand how they could be forgotten.

But, it happened one day, we were set to go out,

Momma carefully planned, she was bustling about.

Momma packed for the twins, it was quite an ordeal,

All the diapers they needed, every burpcloth and meal.

Packing for twins and all they required, left Momma feeling

rather tuckered and tired.

So that’s why it happened to Momma this day,

She felt something was missing , as we were driving away.

Momma went  over the list once again in her mind,

Now what are we missing? What did we leave behind?

Oh well! let’s get going Momma said with a smile,

I know you’ve been waiting to go out for awhile.

All of a sudden I screamed     S T O P!    and I tugged on her blouse

That’s just when Momma remembered, she forgot the twins

in the house….
