Mimi’s Silly Poetry

It wasn’t wrapped in fancy paper or tied with  shiny string

But what a birthday gift for Mimi it truly made her sing.

It could have been some diamond earrings, a trip to Paris France.

Tickets to a broadway show then dinner and a  dance.

It could have been a brand new car or a headboard made of brass.

But nothing could compare to the gift behind the nursery glass.

A baby boy on Mimi’s  birthday a grandson, now that’s grand.

Kudos to her son-in-law and daughter they deserve a hand.

How clever of the two of them to give  Mimi such a lift.

A grandson for her birthdy!
