Mimi’s Silly Poetry

Long ago when Great Grandpa was a boy, T.V.’s were not invented,

There were no computers, no video games, doesn’t that sound demented?

What did he do when he wasn’t at school and he could not go outside to play?

When his friends came to call there was nothing at all, what did he do?

I’ll ask him today.

He smiled as he told me, and gave  Momma a wink,

there was so much to do,  what did you think?

We played card games and board games and read comic books,

We played hide and go seek, we played good guys and crooks.

We played dominos and hang-man, what a great time we had.

Well what do you know?, back then life wasn’t so bad…
