Week 19 - Impossible Dreams 6
Episode 4
Many of the magazine's staff members stand outside the office's Mens Room.
Harry presses his face against the door. "You can't stay in there forever, kid!" he shouts.
"I'm not coming out!" Powell calls, from inside.
"Come on!" Harry bangs on the door. "You promised you'd model your Pan Boy costume for us!"
"Leave him alone, Harry," Rantz says. "Don't humiliate him."
"What humiliation! He agreed to be Coyote Man's sidekick, he's gotta wear the costume. It's part of the deal. Lots of other people are gonna see him in it, why not us?"
"I don't know all the other people," Powell calls. "You're, um, my friends..."
"The humiliation is part of the totality of the experience," Celeste says. "You should embrace it..."
"Uh... I'll only come out if you promise not to laugh..."
"We promise," Harry says. "Cross our hearts!"
"All right..." The door opens and Powell slowly steps forward. He wears the costume and mask Celeste prepared for him. Around his waist is the thick workman's belt onto which is hooked the iron frying pan.
Harry takes one look at him and bursts out laughing. "Oh God! This is priceless!"
"Hey!" Powell yells. "You promised!"
"Promises made under duress don't count!"
"I think he looks wonderful!" Celeste says.
Rantz looks him over. "It's really not that bad..."
"Stand still!" Harry laughs again. "I want to capture this moment in my brain. I want to keep the image till my dying day!"
"Harry, you're, uh, you're a bastard..." Powell says. "I'll get you for this!"
"What are you gonna do? Whack me with your mighty pan?" Harry doubles over.
"Now, kids," Rantz says. "Play
nice..."
