Episode 3
"My God! This is priceless!" Harry giggles. "He wants you to become his sidekick?"
"I don't think it's so funny..." Powell says.
"Of course it is! It's hilarious! The new dynamic duo... Coyote Man and... and Powell!" He bursts out laughing.
"I don't think I should do it... I mean, someone could get hurt..."
"Hurt!" Harry waves his hand, dismissively. "You have to do it! His daughter promised you an exclusive! You know what this could mean for the magazine?"
"His daughter is using me. She... she just wants me to keep him out of trouble till she gains control of their company."
"Of course she's using you! So what? We'll use her right back."
"But... I mean... Donald Lamont needs help, Harry, he's sick. He's not fooling around with this. He really thinks he's Coyote Man."
"That's what's so fantastic. It's not just some stunt. You're gonna actually go on patrol with a lunatic who really thinks he's a superhero! And they won't talk to anyone else! Jesus, we could get a book out of this!"
"A... a book?"
"Sure. It's a guaranteed best seller!"
"But... he wants me to wear a costume... I'd... I'd make an idiot of myself."
"Imagine it on the shelf in Barnes and Noble. 'The Adventures of Coyote Man, By Powell'. You'd do the talk show circuit..."
"The... the talk show circuit?"
"Sure... Imagine yourself getting interviewed by... by Geraldo and all those other idiots!"
"Geraldo?"
"Yeah... And then... maybe... after the hard cover sales start to peter out, maybe we could hire an artist... Publish the story in comic book form. Now, that'd be ironic!"
Powell stares at him. "Geraldo?"
"It'd make your career, kid..."
