Week 17 - Impossible Dreams 4
Episode 1
Powell shows up, unannounced, at the Long Island home of Donald Lamont. Lamont's beautiful daughter, Lucy answers the door.
"You!" she yells.
"Uh... Hi," Powell says. "I'd like... I'd like to speak with your father."
"You've got some nerve coming back here! Didn't you do enough damage with your goddamned article!"
"I... I just need to talk to Mr. Lamont for a few minutes... To ask him a few questions."
"Go to hell!" She slams the door shut.
Powell stares at it for a moment. Then he knocks. After a few seconds the door opens half way. Lucy glares at him.
"Please," Powell says. "Let me speak to him... This is very important."
Lucy pulls a small phone from her pocket. She pushes a button. "I've just turned on the power," she says. She pushes another button. "Now I've dialed nine."
"Uh... I don't understand..."
She hits another key. "I've just dialed one. If you don't get off this property in the next five seconds, I'll dial one again. I'll tell them to call the police... I'll say you're attacking me..." She looks at him. "Five," she says.
"That... That's ridiculous!"
"Four."
"Please, be reasonable..."
"Three."
"Can't we just discuss this for a..."
"Two."
"I know your father is Coyote Man!" Powell shouts.
"One," Lucy says. Then she slowly lowers the phone. "What?" she whispers.
"Uh... I know your father is Coyote Man," Powell repeats, softly.
Lucy opens the door wide. "Get in here!" she says.
