Week 16 - Impossible Dreams 3
Episode 3
Harry sits at the desk in his office pushing together two halves of a broken action figure.
Powell knocks on the door and steps in. "Uh... Harry, are you busy?" he says. "I need to talk to you."
Harry glances up at him. As he does the top half of the figure in his hands slips from the bottom. "Damn it!" he yells. "You distracted me!"
"Harry, I've got some... some really important news..."
Harry holds up the broken toy. "Remember this thing? Jango Fett, out of battle armor. A first lot, right? Valuable! So, my rotten luck, the friggin' thing gets busted in two!"
"How did that happen?"
"It was those... it doesn't matter," Harry mumbles. "So, you remember that guy in the Bronx we wrote about, couple of months ago? That guy who fixes toys?"
"Tommy the Tinkerer?"
"Yeah... So I called him and described the problem... Figured maybe he could help me with it... Bastard wanted to charge me two hundred bucks! Ungrateful piece of... After all the free publicity we gave him!"
"Harry, listen to me! I've got to tell you something!"
"So I said to him... I said, 'You know what, Mr. Tommy the Prick Tinkerer! I'll run down to the grocery store and get some Krazy Glue for $2.99 and to hell with you, f--k you very much!'"
He pulls out a tube of glue from a drawer and applies it to both halves of the toy. He pushes them together, but they immediately slide apart. "God damn it!" he yells.
"Harry, please," Powell says. "Put that away for a minute... I've got... I've got the biggest... the, uh, biggest thing you could imagine to tell you!"
Harry looks at him. "All right, all right!" He puts the glue and both pieces of the action figure back into his drawer. "I'm all ears kid," he says. "What's the giant news? With a build up like that, it'd better be good!"
Powell takes a deep breath. "I... I know who Coyote Man is!"
