Week 13 - Everybody's A Critic
Episode 3
Harry talks with Celeste.
“So… um…” he mumbles. “I know you did that whole cover design with the Coyote howling at the gigantic moon… But… I’m gonna have to insist we go with something like this…” He pulls out Rantz's drawing and lays it on Celeste’s desk. “Rantz did this… It’s Coyote Man against a plain white background…”
Celeste glances at the drawing. “Why does Coyote Man have a foot growing out of his head?”
“Um… I think that’s supposed to be the snout on his mask… Uh… Rantz guarantees that a design like this’ll increase newsstand sales by… by a lot.”
“Fine.”
“Fine? Fine what?”
“Fine… that can be the cover… it doesn’t matter…”
“What! Fine? That’s it?”
“That’s it.”
“You’re not supposed to agree so easily! You’re supposed to go ballistic! We’re supposed to have a big argument and I have to remind you that I’m the boss and threaten to fire you if you don’t do what I want!”
“That’s ridiculous.”
“But I was all hyped up for a fight!”
“Don’t be juvenile…”
Harry stares at her. “Are you all right? You don’t look so good…”
“I’m… I’m fine… I just feel a little… confused…”
“Why? What’s the matter?”
“Harry, I just came from the dentist… And while I was there…” She looks at him.
“Yeah? What happened at the dentist?”
“While I was there… I had a transcendent experience!”
