Week 11 - The Rude Laptop
Episode 1
Hal sits at the desk working on the laptop. Chuck Agnew looks over his shoulder.
“All I need to do now is set the time and it should be done,” Hal says. He fiddles with the mouse and adjusts the clock.
“Hey!” Chuck says. “I know where to get a really cool program we could put on that thing…”
“What program?”
“It’s like… It’ll sit there most of the time, right? In the background… But then, every once it a while, it’ll print some whacked out message on the screen!”
“You mean, it’s like a virus?”
“Not really a virus… It just sort of hides…”
“You want me to put a virus on my dad’s computer!”
“It doesn’t do any damage! It’s just a joke. It’ll type messages like ‘What’s that smell?’ or ‘Stop me before I puke again!’ It’s hilarious!”
“‘Stop me before I puke again!’ That’s pretty funny… Imagine my dad’s, like, at work, and that pops up…”
“Come on! Hook this sucker up to the internet and I’ll show you where to download it!”
“I guess if it doesn’t really hurt anything…” Hal reaches for a phone wire and plugs it into the back of the laptop. “Can we write our own messages for it to show?”
“Yeah, baby!”
Hal points the mouse to a web browser and logs on. “You’re an evil f--k, Chuckie.”
“Chuck the evil f--k! That’s me!” He grins.
They download the virus.
