Week 4 - The Can - Part 2
Episode 1
Rantz and Liza are lying in bed. The alarm clock goes off. Rantz slaps a button and it falls silent. He rolls over and goes back to sleep. Seven minutes later the alarm goes off again. Once more, he presses a button and rolls over. Liza nudges him. “What are you doing?”
“Mmmm…”
“Either get out of bed now or stop snoozing!”
Rantz sits up. “What?”
“It’s ten after five! You keep hitting that damn snooze button!”
“Oh.”
“You’re the one who insists on having a date with the garbage men! I don’t see why you have to ruin my sleep too!”
“Right, right! I’m getting up.”
“I hate that snooze crap! Whoever invented that thing should be shot.” She rolls over.
Rantz opens a dresser draw and pulls out socks and underwear. Liza sits up. “What are you doing now?”
“I have to get clothes.”
“You couldn’t have done that last night?”
“I forgot… go back to sleep.”
“Forget it… It’s too late. I’ll never sleep now. You’ve completely woken me up.”
“I’m really sorry.”
She gets out of bed. “You just better make those garbage men take that damn old can!”
“Oh, I’ll make ‘em take it!” He begins to get dressed. “So… Fry up some eggs?”
“What!”
“Since you’re up anyway, you might as well make breakfast.”
“Where’s the phone book? I need the number of a good lawyer.”
“Don’t tell me you want to divorce me just cause I woke you up early?”
“I’m not going to divorce you, I’m going to crack open your skull with a frying pan!”
