Week 3 - The Can - Part 1
Episode 1
Rantz and Hal stand by the curb in front of their new home. They are staring at a rusty, dented garbage can.
“I thought mom told you to get rid of that,” Hal says.
“I tried to! I left it here for the garbage men to pick up. I don’t know why they didn’t take it!”
“Well duh! It’s a can! The garbage men empty those things out. They don’t haul them away.”
“Jeez! What am I gonna do with this thing?”
“Why don’t you just drive it to the dump?”
“It won’t fit in the car.”
“If we had an SUV it would.”
“We’re not getting an SUV. Those things are gas guzzling monstrosities!”
“You know, I’m the only kid in the whole school whose family doesn’t have one.”
“We’re not getting an SUV!”
“It’s hurting my image!”
“When you’re an adult, you can buy your own.”
“When I’m an adult, I’m getting a Jag!”
“I thought you wanted space! Those things are tiny.”
“Old geezers need space to lug around their ugly garbage cans. Young, hip dudes need style and speed.”
“Why?”
“To impress the ladies, ‘natch.”
“And where do those young hip dudes plan to get the money to buy all that style and speed?”
“That’s easy! We’ll borrow it from the old geezers!”
