Week 2 - Playing With Toys
Episode 5
Rantz and Liza sit on the couch in the living room of their new house. “It’s incredible!” Rantz says. “It’s like I’m working with a bunch of children!”
“Well, it’s a magazine about comic books… what did you expect?”
“I guess I assumed there’d be some degree of professionalism…”
“They’re not professional?”
“They spend half their time playing with toys!”
“Come on, don’t exaggerate.”
“I’m not exaggerating! They sit at their desks playing with toys!”
“I know what’ll help you relax… Why don’t we watch some T. V.?”
“We can watch T. V.?”
“The electrician was here this afternoon.”
“Cool!”
“Plug it in and channel surf away!”
“Hold on, it’s not that simple. I have to work out a wiring scheme.”
Liza looks at him. “We need a wiring scheme to channel surf?”
“The receiver doesn’t really have enough inputs. But we’ve got the Tivo, the DVD, the VCR…”
“Is all that really necessary?”
“And, of course, the C. D. player...”
“Of course…”
“I guess we can live without the old turn table… When was the last time we used that relic?”
“I think I’ll go upstairs and read.” She leaves.
“I’m not sure where to plug the MP3 player…”
