Week 2 - Playing With Toys
Episode 2
“Are you all right?” Rantz asks.
“Just a bit excited!” Harry says. “A Jango Fett action figure out of battle armor! This is the biggest story all year!” He looks at the young man. “Rantz, this is Powell, our Associate Editor. Powell, Rantz, the new Circ. Director.”
“Hi…” Powell says.
“Powell!” Harry yells. “Why are you still here! Get to production! Tell them we need a new cover Asap!”
Powell rushes out.
“I thought you said you focus on the literary angle,” Rantz says.
“Well… Ordinarily yes… But Jango Fett with no battle armor… That’s big news… Our normal articles are much more intellectual…”
“That’s good…”
“Things like the implications of prospective technologies on the future of society… Like the way biotech or artificial intelligence can alter our notions of what it means to be human…”
“That sounds fascinating…”
“We’re all over that kind of stuff… Most of our articles are…”
The door bursts open and Powell barges in.
“Harry!” he yells. “I just got off the phone with DC Comics! They’re changing Wonder Woman to a blonde!”
Harry clutches his chest. “My pacemaker!”
