Episode 5
Rantz and Liza sit together on the couch in the living room.
“I think we may have made a big mistake moving here,” Rantz says.
“Did you get rid of that disgusting garbage can yet?” Liza asks.
“Hal hates the whole area… And I think I do too. We’re city people. We don’t belong in this perfectly trimmed, sunny suburban hell!”
“When are you going to call the electrician?”
“Why are you ignoring what I’m saying!”
“Because we went through this a hundred times. We’re here. It’s over. It’s a waste of time to second guess ourselves now.”
“I just don’t know if we can all adjust…”
“It’d be a lot easier to adjust if you’d stop moping and do some work helping me get this place in order!”
“Fine! What do you want me to do?”
“For a start... Get rid of that eye sore of a garbage can and call the electrician about updating the outlets.”
“Fine! I’ll take care of it tomorrow. But I still think we’ve made a big mistake.”
“And I think you should promise me to stop whining.”
“Fine… You’re right… No more whining… I promise!”
“Good… now give me a kiss… this is our new home and we’re going to make the best of it.”
He leans forward to kiss her, then sits back. “I think I’m going to hate my new job…”
